Sale Aftermath and NEW items!

Whew!  We had a FLASH SALE (one day only sale) on Friday and the response was overwhelming.  To tell you how popular the sale was, I did more volume in 24 hours than I did in February!   I am a little behind on orders, but a third did go out yesterday and more will go out today.  Watch for a shipping notice from PayPal, that will alert you that you order went out.

International Quilt Market Spring 2011 part 1

Hello everyone! I am still playing catch up but I thought I would take a break to go over some of the exciting and inspiring things I saw at Quilt Market.



My first appointment on the floor was at Timeless Treasures. I love the new designers that they are utilizing. I saw a trend of fun, whimsical yet modern prints including a new lone of affordable organic cotton prints!









The colors were saturated and bright and the fabric felt like the high quality you expect from Timeless Treasures. Very excited to get these fabrics.

Next up, Andover/Makower. I loved this line of sewing notions from Makower:






And these fresh, deep colors from the new "Dazzle" collection are amazing for a quilt or I personally will be making a new handbag.



Another big trend? Grey with everything and this line from Andover was quite lovely:









Another new line that I thought was intriguing and very Euro looking is this one, "Meet The Gang" by Creative Thursday. I love that color combo. I think it will make a fabulous quilt for kids!






Last but certainly not least, the newest from Lizzy House, "Outfoxed"

In shop news, I will be making my semi-annual pilgrimage to Quilt Market!  This is the Trade Show for fabrics, patterns, ribbons and more.  I get to take sneak peeks at what is new and order all sorts of fun goodness for the shop.  I will, of course, take as many photos as I can.  I upgraded my phone just in time for Quilt Market and will be ready to capture all the new things.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar - New!

I loved this book as a child and my daughter loves the story now, too.  I could not resist picking up this line for the shop - it's bright, colorful and takes me right back to the joy of discovering the art of Eric Carle.  Limited quantities - grab some for a quick project!  Great for a quilt, pillow or this would be a fun print for a summer skirt!
